I came here after such a long while because I was relieving some memories , it's those kind of days .
Just kidding , I am only here because I have only just started on my report and I am bored out of my mind already .

I do miss blogging here , quite a bit .
Thank you for not giving up and continuing to check on this dead space hahhah .
And thank you for saying that my crap blogging inspires people to blog more LMAO . Can everyone update their blogs more frequently , because if you do , I would have been off spending my time reading about your lives instead of wasting my time by shit posting here .

Anyway , nah , don't think I will actually come back here because my life still isn't really sorted out yet . But I thought I would compromise by doing a quick update on some major happenings in the past months . Sorta like a reassurance to people who thought I had disappeared from the face of earth . Or I might just post about my January Hongkong trip because I feel like it's a pity if no one does a write up on it and let the memories fade after some time .

January ({6th}7th' to 10th')
HONGKONG TRIP

We actually arrived at the airport crazily early , our flight was at 01:55AM on the 7th , but we overestimated the time and ended up reaching at around 11:30PM on the 6th , wow good job us . That's 2 and a half hours early for those with shit maths like me .
Changed the last of my cash at the airport at a lousy exchange rate , walked around for a bit , went to pick up the wifi router before heading in !
And watched like 10 mins of Jurassic Park inside the departure hall , IT WAS GOOD AND I CONTINUED IT ONLINE AFTER RETURNING HOME BTW .



Jocelyn's first time taking a flight so we advised her to take the window seat ! But because it was a midnight flight , there wasn't much to see LMAO , but at least the view was good when we landed .
I think my first thoughts after landing was ,
"Please get colder ."
"I really need to learn my own dialect ."
"Why do people speak so fast ?"
"Bless Helen for prepping me on what to expect ."
"I feel lost and in a dream , someone help ."



Took a cab to the city . All I remember is the incessant beeping of the meter , the fare increases at a super fast rate ?? Or it could be because the driver was speeding hahah . Not crazy driving but I think he was going fast . After circling around Jordan , finally managed to locate the hotel with the help of GPS and we went to unload our luggages before heading to explore the city in the quiet hours of the morning .



There's something strangely beautiful about a city that is not quite yet awake , the streets relatively empty and quiet . Apart from the downside that shops are not yet in business , I think it is great to arrive in the morning to take in the place without the distraction of the hustle and bustle of people rushing to their various destinations . That and the fact that I hate people . Yup .



The frequency of their subways is SO AWESOME , trains come within 2-3 minutes of each other ???
The crowd is pretty comparable with Singapore's .



First stop , Kam Wah Cafe for their breakfast !
Was forced to get a cup of hot milk tea because most places have this rule where every patron has to spend a minimum amount just by taking up their space . It was at least 20$ for this particular cafe , (which is around 3SGD) or at least a beverage , so I just went and ordered something that looks inconspicuous , something that looks like it wouldn't make my stomach act up in the morning .
But I'm an idiot because this contains milk and anything milk does not agree with my digestion in the morning . Luckily , I only had slight pain which was on and off and pretty easy to ignore . Jocelyn on the other hand unfortunately did not feel well after that meal , probably because of the flight and the environment , idk ?



Conclusion : RF can't be a model because she can't fake candid .

Finally got to check-in @ Sunny Day Hotel after our long amble . Well , I mean they checked in while I sat there like a pig to rest my tired feet . (I think my rapping career could potentially take off well .)
The lifts are really scary , it felt like they were about to breakdown any moment due to the creaking and shuddering everytime you take it . Oh and there is this long flight of stairs that you have to climb to reach the lobby , so if you're someone/is traveling with someone who isn't physically fit enough to tackle those steps everytime you reach or leave the hotel , I wouldn't recommend . Or if you shop alot and have to lug up everything . Or you're just someone who gets tired from shopping and have all your energy spent after a day out . Because then , you'll probably end up sleeping on the streets .
Okay , I'm exaggerating as usual but it's still a point to note .
The room was pretty decent albeit not being the most spacious . RF and I took the double bed while Joce had the other single bed .



Typical me not wanting to move after settling down in our room .
I think I'm a shit traveling buddy because I'm just so unmotivated to move and could willingly spend the whole of my trip just lazing about in the hotel , which sorts of defeat the point of traveling to a new place doesn't it .
At least Adrian relates to these lmao .
I have no idea what we did for the rest of the day . I think we just walked around .
Oh , I think we went Ladies Street and I bought a pair of pants that I wear EVERYWHERE now .
So that was Day 1 .


Day 2 begun bright and early , for ME at least because we had a full-day plan @ Disneyland ! I think we woke at 8/9plus ??



Catching the train there , look at the details , IT'S SO CUTEEEE



I really hate the new 'No Selfie Sticks' rule that was implemented . It's so stupid .
Anyway , I think I will just list the rides/shows/places we went to and briefly elaborate on the more interesting ones .



 It's so breathtaking-ly beautiful irl !!! Everything just feels so magical , i know that sounds so stupid but really . I felt like I was living my childhood dream and that I had become a kid again .
I waited soooooooo long to finally come here , in fact , it was the only place on my must-visit list @ Hongkong LMAO . Okay I shall stop gushing and continue on .

I feel like carousel should be classified as a liminal space too along with rest-stops , stairwells , trains and whatnot . There's just something magical about carousels that can't be explained .



} Tahitian Terrace
Our lunch stop ! Only place offering vegetarian food if I'm not wrong , it's Indian vegetarian tho . 
I'm shit at telling tastes apart so there MIGHT be onion/garlic , I'm not sure . Their rice is not my style and I never liked chickpeas but the rest of their stuff is really good , especially their curry ! (Duh .) I love the potatoes alot too .

I feel like this is actually also quite childish BUT I REALLY LIKED IT , IN FACT , I WANTED TO GO A SECOND TIME LOL . Or maybe I just love pooh characters .

I'm a wimp so I decided to skip out on this ride after my horrifying first experience at Space Mountain . So I waited below for them , hoping to capture some pictures .

I think this is considered as one of the milder 'rides' and the height restriction is only 81cm , BUT THIS IS ENOUGH TO SCARE ME OUT OF MY WITS , I CAN'T SURVIVE THEMEPARKS .
I think the people sitting opposite us were really amused by my reactions . Well , at least I'm helpful by providing free entertainment on more 'boring' rides . You're welcomed .

This only opens after 06:15PM or 07:15PM on different days and I recommend that you go immediately when it opens because even though the lights are nice , I think it would be better if the sky hasn't turn totally dark because I feel like I could hardly see anything properly .

Have I mentioned how much I love carousels ? Should I gush about it again ???
Anyway , I wanted to try slow shutter so I asked RF to play along with me HAHAH .
The shutter speed options were really limited tho and the stabilizer on my phone is non-existent hence this was a fail ): But here are the results anyway .

We had abit of time left and were walking back to catch the fireworks when we saw that they were having the last round for this . So we stood there and were like , SHOULD WE ???
And I'm at first like nahhhh , I'm probably gonna get dizzy but it was the last place we could go at this time and JUST SCREW IT , we ran like mad for it .

So beside the fireworks , they project some images and clips onto the front of the castle . There's different segments from different films , I only remember Beauty and the Beast was one of them , oops .




And that concludes Day 2 . Went to a convenient shop after that back near the hotel for our dinner . 


Day 3 was hell day for me because STOMACHACHE ACTING UP AFTER I GAVE IN TO TEMPTATION AND HAD BREAKFAST . 
But okay , before that ...



Central-Mid-Levels Escalators 
I find it amusing how escalators can become an attraction .
Headed here for breakfast @ Honolulu Cafe . 
Which was also where I met my downfall lol .
Okay so as usual , I ordered beverage while they ordered egg sandwiches , egg tarts and whatnot . 
And the egg sandwiches just looked SOOOOOOOO GOODDDDD and they said it was really good too and I think someone let me tried one bite and I was gone . Gave in to temptation and ordered one myself despite my mind and my stomach screaming at me no . 
Left the place feeling relatively normal and I thought I survived for once , yay , one to xinhui but oh boy , was I wrong .



Walked to take the tram so that we can visit Victoria Peak ~
Also when I started to feel that I have a stomachache coming on ... pfft



The tram is so scary because the tracks are SO STEEP ??? It's like 45 degrees at some point , I keep thinking about stupid scenarios of us hurtling downhill .



 Hair was a crazy mess because the wind is crazy . Especially when you put your head over the railings , you can feel the wind rising up at such high speed , it feels so exhilarating yet scary at the same time . 
I keep thinking my specs are gonna fall off my face plus it's hard to breathe when the wind is attacking you non-stop .


Went to the Madame Tussauds Museum ! Felt like maybe the trick eye could have been a more fun choice , oh well . 
I wanna go to the British one tho where there's Zalfie .



And here's my other bff Einstein , he says hi .



And ofc , had to take a selfie with Jay for my sister . 



Everything feels like it's accurate but I laughed so hard at the first line and dismissed the whole thing as crap the moment I read it .

Felt like dying by that time and decided to skip the shopping and head back to the hotel because I was cold sweating by then . Reached hotel at 04:00PM and just bath , slacked and slept till we went home the next morning .
And puked .
