Running on with the baton ,

WEIRD XH FACT 002; When I let down my hair , I normally gather it to my right shoulder . When I tie it up , I gather it at my left .


On 22 December , I finally got a chanced to visit Gardens By The Bay with my lovely childhood clique and Caithlyn and some others ! I had actually went there twice previously but both times , I only ran past it cause it was part of the Nike She Run and Run for Hope route . But I had never got to actually go there to have a look around so I was pretty excited :p

Anyway , before that , we had our last youth class for the year of 2013 in the morning ! Since it was the last class , it actually felt more slack then before , more of reflections , reminiscing and stuffs . All of us had to go up and give a speech about whatever we wanted to say about the year , super nervous before going up but luckily I managed to thought of something ! I meant every word I say , I really love zhanghua so much with all my heart , so glad to finally be back and have a class of our own instead of being floaters . May these classes go on for years and years ! ( highly doubtful since they'll be pushing them to us to handle soon , ohno ): )


Made some tangyuan too because it was dongzhi ! I really think tangyuan with no fillings is really gross , why they forget buy ): Still had fun tho making our pebble like tangyuan with weird colour mixture and our dumb competition to see who can roll the smallest ever tangyuan ! I ended only eating one before pushing it to my sister , I think end up kor ate everything because he is forever
helping me to eat HAHAHAH


Adults SOS-ED us after lunch , because we were expecting an American to come down for a visit and they needed our help to be translator and chat with her . So I postponed my meeting with Qian and decided to stay for awhile because I think the last time I helped zhanghua with tourist I think was when i was in primary school... #guiltymax
ROFL the adults efforts in conversing were commendable but extremely cringe-worthy for us . Heck , i even think our english standard were already disgusting enough . Caithlyn was a supersuper nice lady tho ! Super friendly and enthusiastic about everything . Americans are so much more expressive than us , if you ask me how's the food , I will just politely say it's okay thanks or it's good , thanks . She was like "It's really wonderful , see my clean plate is a great testimonial ! This is really good !" Not sure if she's just saying that for our sake but whatevs , that's not important .
Super conflicted about whether I should go along with them cause it means I'm probably gonna be late in meeting Qian but I decided to just take the chance and go be a suaku ! While jhjmnx took boyao's car , we awkwardly took the same car with Caithlyn . Okay actually it wasn't really awkward , just that I keep feeling the pressing need to think of something to talk to her because I felt like it was my job to keep her
entertained at all times . Plus my sister was trying to dissolve into the car and acted like a dummy for almost the whole ride so I felt compelled to be the one speaking. Thankfully , Caithlyn was extremely friendly and one question from me can get her going for a few minutes and I actually enjoyed chatting with her ! ^^
I realised I actually don't have a photo with her , hope our faces are good enough HAHAH

After reaching there , I think we became the tourist . Walking ahead , spamming pictures and chatting ourselves . Okay la apart from responsible jh kor , he is there to talk to Caithlyn so we felt our services were unnecessary and decided to just enjoy ourselves . GBTB is a pretty lame place if you're not a really nature-y person who loves the flora and fauna . There were alot of exotic plants but most of the time , we were just walking without looking #techgenkids
Ran a little late and had to leave regretfully before I get to have dinner at Roma . I think i really suey , everytime people decide to go Roma I always cmi one T-T  Even though Roma is quite overrated and not really that nice to eat , but still , it's like the only pure vegan italian place ): I WANT GO PLEASEEE

Met up with Yunqian at Lavender after that ! thanks to her dad for kindly driving us to People's Association Headquarters ! We went there to support the dancers for 2013 Anyhow Arts !  Had been meaning to go for quite a few years but always ending up just nuaing at home ..
Said hi to Ranice , and then slacked around with Sam and yeewah before the preshow ! Sam helped us draw henna , I didn't know henna stays on for so long , if not I wouldn't have done it because of cultural camp T.T 
I think it's really cool the amount of students liu laoshi have . Like everyone is under him , even xinyun's dance teacher is under him ! Even tho he isn't my teacher , my few interactions with him really makes me respect him alot . I dk what will happen to all his schools and pa after he retire , I feel like his standard too high liao .

 Most hilarious one is obviously the skit with Ranice and Adrian ! Adrian is super tall omg why guy's growth spurt so extreme one what about me ): So many awesome performances , it's really cool how students were the choreographer along with chungyi . (okay idk how to spell his name I random bomb)

Don't really have the feel to update about cultural camp 2013 . I think this is the year which they prepared for the longest and the most but not gonna lie , it was the least enjoyable . The previous two years , I was hoping that I can stay there forever, cut off from reality and wishing my brothers could be there to experience it with me . I think they super suey , the year they finally attended it was lame . Worked on 24 till 6pm before rushing down to CCK to meet some others to go in msia while clique went by bus with the rest in the afternoon . So I had to emo nemo and normally , a bad start equal a bad process to me . Was lucky enough to have to Singaporeans in my group , Jingxuan and Claudia ! so unfair, my sister had 9 singaporeans in hers wth. 
I realised every year , I always happen to have two kiddos in my group to accompany HAHAH . Jingxuan was super nice , always taking dishes for me first before eating herself , love her so much !
Fy jie was asking me how was the camp and I was like uhmmmmm and smiled awkwardly. I think the problem this year was because no. 1 , the most high day which is Christmas falls on the first day , and nobody really felt familiar enough with each other to be high . no. 2 , majority of the participants this year are too young for words . IT'S TOO CHAOTIC .
Anyway , this time I got dance as my skill (duh as usual, fy jie throws me there no matter what I choose) . You know how I always said that not choosing dance in jc as one of my life regret . I think I'm wrong actually . Giving up haona laoshi's extra lessons was the real regret . Because this time , we were taught super chinese dance style which made me realised that was what I really missed . We had to perform 敦煌舞 (dunhuang dance) on the last day and were taught by a teacher from 台湾侨委会(Taiwan qiaoweihui), Huang Kai Ning laoshi . For those lazy to research what is qiaoweihui, it's like this taiwanese govt organisation with professionals who have to travel around the world to spread and teach other people from all around the world chinese culture . Another three people from there taught 扯铃(cheling) , shenjie and 捏面人(niemianren) .

 The way huang laoshi talked made me miss dance sososo much , I don't think I will have the same feels had I been in other dances . Cause chinese dance teacher speak in the same style , "手肘微弯shou zou wei wan" "胯先出kua xian chu" "肩放松jian fang song" "快进入状况kuai jing ru zhuang kuang" etc .
First year it was 新马(xinma) , second year 新马泰(xinmatai) , this year 新马美菲律宾xinmameiphillippines . The americans were ABCs , not like angmoh Americans . It was pretty annoying and irritating how most of the guys lost no time in going to flirt and all . I mean like hello , remember where you are and control abit please . Super proud of my kor , my brothers are totally like the two most handsome guys out of the 200+ people imo but they didn't take advantage of their popularity yo , girls are forever the ones looking
for them while they just politely respond . #sisterpride The way everyone was eyecandy-ing them was actually pretty hilarious , especially ahkor , everyone he go people shouting papa after him . (His character in the skit)
On Day 4 , CAITHLYN CAME LIKE OMG . Was eating halfway when joonmeng di gestured to sist to tell her caithlyn just walked in and my sist shout-whispered (okay idk how to describe) to me and then I went to find nx jie to tell her ! Greeted her and we were all genuinely happy to see each other . Before she left , she came to talk abit more to me too , super touched she actually went around to find me just to say goodbye especially since we were all around the place playing station games (':
i think the only enjoyable time was the first night when I had midnight chat with joonmeng and shuyu and catchup with them . Or last night when we had midnight chats again with Zane , jies and shuyu ! Not sure I would want to go again if they hold it next year , I mean , three times is enough and I think the participants are gonna get younger , and the age gap is gonna be too much .
